![]() Chuck makes a good point about the rally. I hope you get your issues worked out soon. After talking to many others, I realize that my experience was much better than many others and we may have been a little lucky. My DirecTV equipment was set up by a DirecTV technician who came to my 5th wheel and set it all up. My system and setup has worked perfectly from day one. They work together and I can play shows recorded on either tv and can watch different channels at the same time on the two tv’s. My satellite provider is DirecTV and we have a Genie in the living room and a mini Genie in the bedroom. My roof mounted satellite dish (Winegard Travl’r) uses that roof mounted satellite connection. There is another satellite connection on your roof. I have never used the satellite connection that is adjacent to the exterior cable connection, also in the water control panel, so I can’t comment on how that works. When it is on, it will generate a signal that will interfere with the signal from the cable connection on the outside of your rig (on the water control panel compartmen), so the power should only be on when using the external over the air antenna. As you are also aware, that light (when the button is pressed) should go on and stay on. the power button is to power the “over the air” antenna mounted on your roof. I don’t want to add to the confusion but here’s what I think I know about how this works. Even the user manuals are so screwed up it almost takes a rocket Was built in Japan or China or Korea, interpreted from the tech to the writer in either country an then intoĮnglish for those countries that use such. If you think this manual is bad, you should try to interpret a service manual for a amateur radio who Nothing of how a system working's are trying to put in writing what he thinks the tech has told him Own language an try's to put correct English into their writings. Thus the person writing the manual interprets what the tech tells them in their The problem is that the people who install these things are the one's who tell the people writing the I agree the manual is not the best an I was confused at first as well to explained, I later found out that myĪntenna was bad, Kz tech stated that he had never seen an antenna go bad in all the many years he had When using cable turn of the antenna amplifier/booster. In other words you have to change the jumper from "A" to "B" on the one panel an The tech stated that when hooking up a satellite dish you needed to change the jumper that goes between They explained the setup to me when changing my outside antenna. You have not the only one that has had trouble understanding the antenna setup. ![]()
